Globalization is the spice of it! By: Erin J. Brennan

Human nature when left to act without the guide of reason and logic always makes poor decisions. An example of the worst I have seen is our desire to seek the company of only those like ourselves. To want only to be around those who look like us, talk like us, or think like us, is misguided.

Great leaders know this. They seek out different perspectives. They know better decisions are made went a possibility of disagreement exists and is even likely. They encourage it. One of the best leaders I have known seemed to draw out of others opinions and ideas. The worst leaded I knew intently did the opposite.

In life it is our differences that are the spice of it. Just like with food and flavors. In economics allowing those who can produce the best product or services to thrive unfettered increases everyone standard of living. This is the definition of free trade.

To want to silence opposing opinions is a sign of weakness, to strive to enlighten out of love of human kind an honorable profession.

The universal recognition that even when we look different and think different that we are the same and this understanding is the only way to world harmony.

If only our world would work together? Ponder the productivity gains of no wasted spending on overgrown armies let alone the value gains of worldwide specialization. It is staggering. If you can convince me otherwise please make an attempt!
