Have you already talked with #ChatGPT ? The new product developed by OpenAI went viral gaining traction among #AI enthusiast as well as media like The Wall Street Journal , BBC News and others. It’s really difficult to follow all publications on the subject. Instead of reading about others’ impressions it’s better to chat with … hmm.. with whom? Artificial intelligence? Language model? Truly big set of data with interface?

Exploring application of AI in business

I asked ChatGPT to write an explanation how it can be applied in business. Here is the response:

Tricky questions

I asked many other questions switching between English and Polish. The ChatGPT had tendency to avoid controversies and for tricky questions answers are “politically correct” or avoided using following statements:

“I'm sorry, but I am not able to provide information about …... As a large language model trained by OpenAI, I do not have access to current events or the internet, so I am not able to provide information about recent events like …... My training data comes from a wide range of sources, but it is limited to texts that were published before 2021, so I am not able to provide information about events that have occurred since then. If you have any other questions, I would be happy to try to help you with those.”

For clarity I asked questions regarding events happed long before 2021.

Competitors on red alert

The Open AI success with so many subscribers in short time frame was strengthen with information on “red alert” at Google. Seems they are very worried about potential to loose Internet search services and revenue.

Using ChatGPT is free, but for how long remains open question. Elon Musk, OpenAI's shareholder, already calmed down Sam Altman (OpenAI's CEO) enthusiasm, asking about costs per chat. And the Sam admitted it will be monetized some time in future due to computing costs.

I advice you try ChatGPT to gain your experience, interact, learn and potentially correct to make it better as well as think how it can be used in your business. Really you must start thinking about AI application in your business. You will need to develop relevant to your business case and gather data to make ChatGPT tailored to your domain.
