The human face - Our inner blue print
The Human Face - Our Inner Blue Print
by Naomi Tickle
Over the years since the time of Aristotle, people have been fascinated by the relationship between face shape and personality. Edward Jones, a judge, researched the first reliable face reading system in the 1930's. It was the first system to be used as a supportive tool to understanding human behavior. No other face reading system offers the same degree of accuracy.
We often find ourselves asking the soul-searching question of "Who am I? What is my life purpose? The answers to these questions can be found in the structure of the face. Our blue print is already in place from the time we are born. External influences can change the behavior, however when left to our natural devices, we go back to who we are. Keep in mind, choice always supercedes structure.
My interest in face reading began at an early age. I was fascinated by the relationship between the shape of the face and human behavior. My observations were never encouraged by my parents, they thought it was my imagination at work. I was told "don't be silly." After a while, I quietly kept these observations to myself. It wasn't until the 1980's when I was studying color analysis (image consulting) that my interest was rekindled. I met a man who was looking for volunteers to practice his newly acquired face reading skills. After a consultation with him, which was amazingly accurate, I could immediately see the value this work could bring to so many people's lives.
Gaining a better understanding of ourselves, family, friends and business associates, helps us to better understand and communicate with each other. Personology or face reading, offers a whole new insight to human behavior and why. Including career suggestions, all based on the shape of the face. It is not an intuitive or psychic reading. Simply pattern recognition.
The Shape of the Face and Patterns
Close set eyed individuals are often found in careers such as accounting, dentistry, teaching, X-Ray technicians, specialists in the hospital. They love to work with detail and are good at it. If you are running late for these individuals, make sure you call ahead of time. They won't be so annoyed. Individuals with this trait, also tend to focus on the problem until it is bigger than life itself. They can get overly anxious at times, whereas the wide set eyed individual is more relaxed and laid back.
Individuals with exposed eyelids, enjoy working in the emergency units of the hospital. They are more action driven and like to cut through the red tape in order to do what needs to be done. This trait can also be seen in other professions such as Psychologists, Female News castors, Physical Therapists, Bio Chemists, female gymnasts and volley ball players. As I was waiting for the bus shuttle from the airport, I got into conversation with the young lady sitting next to me. I asked her what she was studying, her response was psychobiology. I also mentioned to that her trait combination, close set eyes, linear forehead and exposed eyelids, were often seen in professional female gymnasts. And guess what, that's right, she was a former gymnastic competitor. Next time you are watching that event, notice the dominant features in the competitors. Most will have narrow faces, close set eyes, linear forehead (like a step by step approach to situations and activities), also the exposed eyelid.
Self esteem issues are often seen in the trait combination of narrow face, fine hair, close set eyes and the perfectionist trait (outer corner of eye lower than inner corner like Hugh Grant). . As a coach, employee or business owner, knowing why people become overly anxious, helps you to better understand their response and help them work through their issues.
The high self confidence trait combinations are typically wide faces, wide set eyes, coarse hair and the ears are set way back on their head. These individuals love a challenge, they fake it til they make it.
People Magazine published an article on the top sexiest men. Looking through the photographs the traits they all had in common were low set eyebrows (very friendly), wide set eyes (high tolerance) and sparkling eyes. Full lower lip, very generous. Eyebrows have a flat underside to them which indicates they like to be surrounded by beautiful things, including women. Eyelids covered, very analytical. Many have deep set eyes which will indicate they can be very serious.
There are many different trait combinations, these are just a few of the ones that are easy to observe. In all there are 91 traits that we look at.

Some of the readers may think this is just some new age concept. Far from it. The people involved in the statistical research in the 1960s had backgrounds in engineering, psychology, sales and lawyers. The concept was researched and founded mostly by men. Not that this makes it valid, it just reflects the serious effort applied to this particular face reading study. It took years of research and fine-tuning. I have worked with people from all over the world, using a system we developed for career assessment. It is as accurate, or more so, than many of the tests High School students take today.
Every coach, teacher, therapist, sales people, human resources and business owners, should be using this in their practice. It would help them to better work with their clients and build customer relationships. The information applies across all cultures.
