Human Design & Life Design

You probably know your enneagram number.

You might be familiar with the Meyer-Briggs Assessment or the DISC.

But you may not have ever explored your Human Design.

Let's take a second to acknowledge that your "Woo-Woo Meter" might be ringing off the charts right now.

That's ok. Mine did, too. I want to challenge you to be receptive, open to learning more, and even possibly (gasp!) learning YOUR Human Design.

If you're brand new to Human Design - it's essentially an energetic blueprint of your personality, motivators, emotions, how you make decisions etc. Your first time looking at your chart can leave you feeling puzzled and confused - it certainly left me feeling that way! There were numbers, elements, images, and an oddly shaped image that reminded me of a guitar.

Your Human Design chart provides deep insight into several areas of your life based on chakra centers and defined energy types.

There are 5 Primary Energy Types:

Generators (That's me!): We are the worker bees and the design type that gets things done!

Manifesting Generators: These special beings are 2 in 1! They have the traits of both a generator and a manifestor.

Projectors: Fantastic leaders and guides - projectors are insightful, efficient, and able to see things in ways that the rest of us can't!

Manifestors: Initiators, action takers, the big idea people. Manifestors are charismatic and naturally draw others to them.

Reflectors: Reflectors are the rarest design type. They are known to be sensitive, intuitive, and highly emotionally intelligent.

Each energy type has it's own unique traits and energy centers. Some energy centers are closed and some are open. There's also "gates" aka "channels", authorities, profiles, and themes. It can appear very complicated - but by learning about your Human Design you can identify how you make decisions, what you should focus on in your life, the way you interact in relationships, how you communicate, even how you can utilize your energy type to manifest in your life.

I found my Human Design to be extremely accurate. I have been able to use the knowledge I gained from exploring my design to create change in my life based on my unique strengths and weaknesses. By learning my husband's and my children's designs, I have changed the way I interact with them to establish stronger relationships based on their unique communication styles.

With greater understanding of myself, I have also been able to be more intentional, show myself grace, and understand why some things come very easily to me and some don't. I'm always an advocate of learning as much as you can about the most important person in your life - YOU!
