Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.
Another dear one passed today. I certainly and desperately hope there is meaning in witnessing these times.
“And die not except in a state of Islam”, urges the Quran. As parts of us continue to die in the times we live in, I hope we are in a state of Islam, peace, as we let them go, regardless of what is dying — a dear one, a belief, an ideology, a habit… I hope we actively make peace with all that we need to let go, to recreate a newer, better world that works for us all.
What did you die to, today?
Ramadan Kareem. May we die to all that no longer serves, in a state of Islam.
