When an elephant is a baby, it can be restrained with a small stake and a piece of rope...
As the elephant is too weak to break the rope or pull the stake out.
It tugs...
It struggles...
It fights...
And eventually accepts that there is no point in fighting anymore.
Then the elephant grows into a massive and powerful beast...
A beast that could EASILY escape the small stake and rope its restrained by.
But it doesn't.
It no longer tugs...
It no longer struggles...
It no longer fights...
You know why?
Because it’s accepted that the stake and rope have CONTROL over it.
The elephant has accepted its limits.
Here's the truth…
You don’t have limits...
You have excuses.
You don't live in a predetermined reality...
You have excuses.
Those excuses create your cage.
You live in that cage...
A cage created by imaginary thoughts that your brain conceived…
Based on your environment and your own unwillingness to test the waters.
There is nothing weaker than letting imaginary thoughts keep you from building the life you TRULY want for yourself.
The fact is…
Whether you are willing to admit it or not…
The only person who limits you ... stares back at you in the mirror every day.
The hell with your limits. Break them.
If someone asked you, “What are your limits?” ... what would you say?
What's the limit on the income you can earn?
What's the limit on how physically fit you can be?
What's the limit to how happy you can be?
What's the limit to how influential you can be?
Who limits the actions you can take in a day?
Who limits the choices you can make in a day?
Who limits the amount of success you can have?
Why do you even think “anyone” or “anything” can limit you?
You don’t have limits...
You have excuses.
The excuses you tell yourself every day create the cage you live in.
So eliminate your excuses, break out of the cage, and go after what you're truly capable of.
How to have zero limits:
When you truly embody this in who you are as a human ... nothing can stop you.
FIND YOUR LIMITS…THEN DESTROY THEM
We all have self-imposed limits in our brains.
There are points when we don't think we can go any further…
There are points when we feel like self-destructing...
When you hit these limits and don’t take action, they will keep you feeling insecure, out of control, and at the mercy of other circumstances.
You have to figure out what these mental limits are, and make a point to purposely push through them.
There is a very strong psychological benefit of control and confidence that happens when you push your limits.
That's when powerful shit will start to happen in your life.
Your career will start to take off...
You will see physical changes you've never seen before…
You will start thinking bigger than you’ve ever thought before...
…and you will gain more respect from the people around you.
Your PERCEIVED limits aren't your REAL limits.
What are the things you tell yourself you can't do?
You have to identify these things, go out, and fucking destroy them.
Only then will you gain the confidence and control you'll need for the rest of your journey.
You have two choices.
You can either stand up, put your work boots on, and grind out the exact life you want.
Or
You can be weak, fall in line, shut your mouth, do what you’re told, and live a life dictated to you by others....and spend the rest of your life convincing yourself that it’s the life you wanted.
That’s it.
It’s your choice.
The only person that limits you in this life stares back at you in the mirror every day.
Sometimes ignoring the “haters” and “critics” is as simple as tuning out your inner voice.
Think about it.
