Human-AI Intelligence beats AI-Threat to Humans' Existence
Allow me to discuss this extrapolated predictions from an article https://www.sciencealert.com/the-risks-of-advanced-artificial-intelligence-are-real-we-need-to-act-now?fbclid=IwAR0_WZGLjT59OnU_fAm7F08AkehnEuCdZ-6XcY6A2GKatGMSXN7JbqpK-Hw
As I too am researching how AI would affect human civilisation in terms of psychology and multiple intelligence.
The authors’ assumptions were based on human's current capitalism applications for AI. Thus, designing and feed data (type of data) to the AI, for the purpose to enhance themselves (via self-improving algorithms); yet the bases of these big data given to the AI could have been better planed instead of just giving it 'logical intelligence' big data analysis.
Look at it from a similar perspective, to teach a toddler, before giving them the ability to make powerful logical analysis and then giving them the autonomy to self-expand into weaponry-grade, the initial data sets ought to be better planned. Parents (and/or Data scientist and AI designers) ought to feed them (children and/or AI) data that grounds their initial thinking blocks with Character Building, such as Respect, Trust, & Gratitude. Only then giving the child/AI the ability to learn how to make a better weapon or how to protect myself at all cost.
In addition, some psychologist (like me and my team in Monash) could be building better Human-AI hybrids that could be way more intelligent than just pure AI alone (eg Hybrid Human-AI Chessmasters could beat pure AI only chessmasters).
I believe and am working towards using AI to enhance human's multiple intelligent instead of separating Human vs AI. In the end, smarter humans (with AI customised personal assistance) would and should always be way ahead of purely AI intelligence. And even be smart enough to upgrade an entire civilisation of capitalisms, individualisms, self-preserving, survival mode human intellectual capacity, as we have today.
AI, just like technology, information, and knowledge, could be use for bad as well as good. Let's beat the race of using it for creating wiser humans. (My definition of Wise: Using information for greater use)
