I began my Memorial Day Holiday weekend by riding the train over to the Hudson Yards area to partake in my usual early Saturday morning ???? run.
The time was 6:31 am when I arrived at the Hudson Yards train station, which lets you out on the corner of 34th Street and 11th Avenue.
As I was riding the escalator up to the street level, I was mesmerized by the gorgeous art painted on the ceiling, and you know me, I took full advantage of the moment and made sure I took my time admiring its beauty!
In my opinion, this is one of the nicest-looking subway stations in New York City.?
After landing on the street level, I made a quick stop near the water fountain area in Bella Abzug Park to stretch for a few minutes before starting my run.?
About 10-yards away from where I was stretching was this huge Big ?? seating area that captured my attention, so I walked over to take a pic. ??
After taking a ?? picture, I was ready to begin my ???? jog, so off I went running. Let’s go!
There’s a lot of beautiful art scattered all around the Hudson Yards.?Love it!
Soon, I was approaching the Vessel, which is a major tourist attraction.?
The Vessel is comprised of 154 intricately interconnecting flights of stairs -- almost 2,500 individual steps and 80 landings --?the vertical climb offers remarkable views of the city, the river, and beyond.

I paused my run for a minute to take this close-up shot of the Vessel.?
Now 20 minutes into my ???? run, I came upon the High Line entrance, which had just opened to my surprise and delight.

Since it’s a holiday weekend, I figured I would bring you along and be your guide. ??
Friends, I entered the High Line smiling from ear to ear and continued my jog through one of my favorite places in the Big ?? Apple.
Indeed, the High Line is one of the best walks in the city.?
The High Line is in my top 10 places I recommend visiting if you’re an out-of-towner.?
Strolling ???? around the High Line.
I am heading back towards the Vessel and the Hudson Yards subway station.?
That just about does it for the latest episode of Anthony Sledge gallivanting around New York City.
I hope you enjoyed our time together as much as I did. ??
Well, friends, it’s now time for me to hop back on the train and make my way home.
Have a fun and safe Memorial Day Holiday weekend!
