HubSpot's new pricing model is here - and it's both a massive shift and a welcome change.
Here's what you need to know about the new pricing model that starts on?March 5, 2024.
HubSpot's New Seat-Based Pricing Model
The new HubSpot pricing model will be based on your number of core seats - users in your portal who can edit, update and interact with the system. This means that pricing is shifting to a pay-as-you-grow model, where businesses can start lower and add users as they scale up.
This new model allows businesses to pay as you grow: You can give core seat access only to employees who need it, while still allowing other team members access to see data through view-only seats. Add on paid seats as your business grows and more users are needed. This allows you to control costs and access.
What is a HubSpot Seat?
You can think of "seats" as users within the system. These are your internal employees who will need to use features within HubSpot. There are two primary seat types in HubSpot.?
Core Seat - Have access to all purchased Hubs and can use tools within them, have access to HubSpot's AI tools and have access to the CRM. Note that permissions within each Hub can still be tweaked. These are paid seats that count toward your seat total. This will be anyone who is going to actively use HubSpot and edit data.
View-Only Seats - Can view all purchased Hubs and reporting features, but can't interact with the system. These are free seats that don't count toward your seat total. This is a great option for employees who don't need to actively use the system, but may need to pull contact information, reporting or status updates.
Another big change for seats is that there are no seat minimums for Sales and Service Hub - meaning that you can have as little as one paid seat, and still use the system.

How Does This Impact My Current HubSpot Billing?
If you are a current HubSpot customer, your billing will not change on March 5, 2024.?The pricing model above will go into effect for any new customers purchasing HubSpot on March 5 or after.
However, HubSpot will eventually migrate existing customers to the new pricing model. Their goal with the shift will be to make it fair to existing clients. This means a few things:
In short: Existing HubSpot customers shouldn't see any changes to billing or portals after March 5. If you are a current HubSpot user and have any questions, contact our HubSpot team - we're happy to answer any questions about the new pricing!
The new pricing model is a definite shift, but one that should be beneficial for most businesses. This allows you to pay?only for the people you need to, without sacrificing view access.?
