God does Great and Mighty Things Through His Children

This young lady is one of my many spiritual daughters; we have known each other for four years.

It is a privilege to give recognition to a young lady of such godly character, for her accomplishment as an author.

I have a great desire to see young people pursue and fulfill whatever God has purposed for them and the good success that results from their tedious and consistent efforts (Joshua 1:8).

The Word of God tells us to esteem or give high regard to others above ourselves (Philippians 2:3-5). I will do whatever and whenever possible to encourage the younger generation to follow their God-given dreams (Habakkuk 2:2-4).

Meet Shakera

My books were written to inspire others. I was first published in 2004, while in High School as a junior, in a literary work entitled “A Celebration of Young Poets”.

In 2011 I was published in a creative non-fiction collaborative work entitled “Take Nine” which consisted of nine writers and nine creative non-fiction pieces. This is where “The Dealt Hand” my first self-published work was created.

It was later published in 2012 in a literary work entitled “The Aurochs Volume 12” while earning my master’s degree in Social Work. Literacy is a key area that has impacted my life in positive ways.

It is one of the ways I grew as a writer. As an author, I encourage those that aspire to use this gift of writing to stay passionate and never give up on being the best author they can be.
