HSC at Wycombe Abbeyschool WAS: Hangzhou & Changzhou

This November, HSC proudly sponsored two landmark events at the WAS schools Wycombe Abbey , fostering community spirit and supporting educational initiatives across the region.

At HSC, we are committed to nurturing young minds and communities through meaningful engagement and support. These events reflect our dedication to education and cultural enrichment, aligning perfectly with our values of service and community development.

On November 2nd, HSC celebrated creativity and talent at the AbbeyFest Music Festival in Hangzhou. AbbeyFest showcased over 40 fantastic performances throughout the day, turning a sunny Saturday into a celebration of music, delicious food, and fun-filled family activities across the vibrant 38-acre WASHZ campus.

AbbeyFest had something for everyone, from vibrant K-pop dances and popular hits to stunning solo instrumental performances. Guests enjoyed a variety of gourmet treats from top-notch restaurants, along with unique dishes crafted by talented students and teachers. Our booth in the bustling open-air market was a standout attraction, drawing crowds and adding to the festival’s lively atmosphere.

HSC brought a wave of excitement to AbbeyFest! Families and individuals stopped by our booth to spin the lucky wheel and win exclusive gifts. Parents, along with kids (and the young at heart!), enjoyed our fun face-painting station, transforming into unique festival characters for the day.

We proudly contributed to the main stage lottery with three fantastic prizes valued at over 4,500 yuan! Our Chairman of the Board, Michael Hu, had the honour of presenting these awards to the three lucky winners.

This festival not only showcased incredible performances but also brought together the community in a vibrant display of artistic expression.

Three weeks later, on 23rd of November, HSC headed to Changzhou for the International Day at Changzhou Wycombe Abbey School. It was a day filled with cultural exchanges, engaging activities, and a collective celebration of diversity that enriched the lives of students and families alike.

HSC participated as the exclusive sponsor of this parent-child charity event. All the money raised from this event will be donated to relevant charity programmes through the Weiya School's Charity Fund, together bringing warmth to the community!

The HSC has two booths, which are not only used for the official event card collection points but also for selling cute and exquisite gifts and preparing interactive games for kids and adults to participate in for prizes. Interactive games were set up to inspire children and parents to challenge themselves and participate, making our booth lively and bustling.

The event was colourful and filled with singing and dancing throughout. The children, along with their parents and teachers, enjoyed a variety of games and food in the warm sunshine. The highlight at the end of the event was a fabulous raffle where HSC provided $20,000 worth of annual high-end health insurance vouchers for the main stage, and HSC's Chairman of the Board, Michael Hu, came onstage to conduct the raffle and present the prizes to the lucky winners.

In this peak season of learning, a season of both harvest and endeavour, HSC is honoured to sponsor and participate in this event, and on this special day, let's work together to sow the seeds of love for the children, and help them take root on the road to growth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made these events memorable. We look forward to more opportunities to support and engage with our communities in the future!
