Good morning,
Global HRU is returning to Toronto on June 11th with location TBD (although we are working on a very cool location right by the Waterfront). What you may ask is an HRU event? Well HRU stands for HR UnConferences and really here's what it is:
An Unconference is an event where the emphasis is in attendees who drive the discussions and share the common interest around different HR topics. In HR Unconference there are 2-4 different tracks around different topics running at the same time so you can choose what is interesting for you and move between tracks.
Who should attend?
It is all about people who are one way or another related to the people businesses – HR people, HR Tech vendors, Recruiters (agency, in-house), Social Media and Employer Branding Experts, Career Advisors… All are welcome!
Today marks the beginning of the planning cycle for the event with an open call for Speakers and Track Leaders that might be interested in leading/facilitating an hour long track session. The tracks can be on any topic related to HR, Recruiting, HR Technology or Social Recruiting. Remember though that the three rules of an UnConference are NO Pitching, NO Powerpoints and NO Presentations (we sometimes stretch the rules on Powerpoints).
If you are interested in potentially taking part in the event please feel free to read more about it by clicking here. And for more information or to express interest email me at [email protected] and we can set up some time to chat.
