I could spend the rest of the afternoon writing that list of half-truths and myths.
But instead I'm going to make a plea for nuance. HRT is a wonderful treatment for the symptoms of menopause and menopause. It works brilliantly for some of us, and others can struggle with it. Many of us lead a healthy and happy life to a ripe old age without it. It has transformed the lives of others. It's risks have undoubtedly been overstated in the past, and the newer forms are a lot better. Nonetheless no medical treatment is without risk.
There's only one right choice and that's the one that's right for you.
