New HR Network starts in Antwerp

VHR , in partnership with hrpro.be, is thrilled to announce the launch of VHR Antwerpen, a new HR community in Antwerp, set to commence in April 2024. This initiative aims to connect HR professionals within the region, providing a dynamic platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional growth.

The Antwerp HR community is designed to bring together HR professionals, offering a tight network addressing current human resources topics. The community intends to foster an environment of mutual learning and support by facilitating discussions, workshops, and expert-led sessions.

"The idea is to build a local non-profit HR Association in Antwerp. There is a need for exchange in an open and safe atmosphere. We will combine strong content with a loyal network", says Koen Lambrechts, who puts his shoulder under this initiative with Karl Van Hoey, Elisabeth Van Hoecke, and Inez Senecaut.

"We are excited to talk about this community in Antwerp, recognizing the city's economic footprint and the presence of many HR professionals. The goal is to create a space where members can share insights, challenges, and successes, thereby elevating the HR practice in the region. It was unthinkable not to have an independent HR association in the Antwerp Region," says David Ducheyne, president of HRPro.be.

In the past two such independent networks existed: PMC and VDP Antwerp. Both have stopped their activities. Both Inez Senecaut and Karl Van Hoey were part of PMC, a local Antwerp HR network that flourished between 1972 and 2022. Inez shares enthusiastically: “I am very happy that we can channel the rich experience of 50 years of Antwerp gatherings through PMC into a new initiative, with support and in cooperation with VHR.
