The irony isn't lost on us. HR professionals, the champions of employee well-being and positive change, are often running on fumes ourselves. According to the HR Trends Report for 2023 by McLean & Company found that 60% of HR professionals reported stress levels steadily increasing, and 39% experiencing burnout. This isn't surprising. We juggle complex demands, navigate constant change, and witness firsthand the pressure employees face.
Here's the truth: we can't effectively support others if our own well-being is neglected.
But there's hope. The human-centric skills we champion for our employees – empathy, communication, and collaboration – are the tools we need to prioritize our own well-being.
