Is HR Falling Behind?

Is HR Falling Behind?

Is HR Falling Behind??

Despite significant transformation efforts, many #HR teams are struggling to keep pace with today’s growing demands, complexities and disruptions. From compliance and administrative beginnings to earning a seat at the executive table, HR now faces the challenge of delivering real value and leading business transformation.

Thankfully, HR thought leaders have provided us with remarkable resources—research, frameworks, tools, and training programs—to meet these challenges. Josh Bersin 's four levels of HR evolution lay out a clear path for progression. Galileo, powered by decades of Bersin's research, offers insights for tackling HR challenges. Dave Ulrich 's influential work continues to inspire forward-thinking strategies. #Gartner and Marc Effron provide profound and practical advice, while JP Elliott, PhD 's podcast showcases the brightest HR minds. The availability of high-quality academies and certifications has never been greater.

Yet, there remains an irreplaceable value in peer forums centred on #learning.

A place where HR professionals, the true warriors of our field, can share their stories, lessons learned, reflect, and re-ignite their curiosity. A place where we can inspire each other, build trust, and elevate our practice together.

The Zug Pharma HR group is becoming such a community—a diverse network of members from the life sciences and healthcare sectors in Zug and surrounding areas. Since our inception in May, our membership has doubled, mainly driven by word of mouth. Unlike other HR networks that focus on specific levels or expertise, we embrace a broad range of seniority and skills, offering unexpected value.

At ZPG HR, specialists gain exposure to other areas through regular knowledge-sharing sessions. We’ve even attracted non-HR professionals from legal, finance, strategy, and IT who are transitioning into HR or have taken on their first HR role. Their fresh perspectives are a valuable, often overlooked resource for accelerating HR transformation.

Our members’ rich and diverse experiences fuel engaging discussions on the most pressing HR topics.

Looking ahead, ZPG HR has an exciting lineup of sessions, and we always welcome new members from the #LifeSciences and #Healthcarehealthcare sectors in #Zug and surrounding areas. Membership is free, and if you’re interested, simply comment with "Interested to join", or send an email to [email protected].
