Creating an HR Calendar for the entire year not only helps an HR professional to drive the HR agenda, activities, initiatives seamlessly but also helps the HR leaders to track effectively.

This document also helps the Management to visualize the entire HR cycle. It's important that the HR calendar is easy to ready.

Steps to create the HR calendar:

  1. Start by writing down each function of HR like Talent Acquisition, PMS, R&R, Operations, Employee engagement, etc. Next under each function, clearly mention the activities you plan to conduct
  2. Jot down important events like town hall, dates for renewal of portals, professional consultant renewals eg. PoSH consultant, tech renewal date, etc.
  3. Jot down important submission dates - ISO, audits, Annual Reports, etc.
  4. Once you have all the base data in place, prepare a worksheet with all the Months
  5. Now start plotting each activity, event, or dates on the entire year long calendar month wise
  6. Certain activities might require a pre work, plot accordingly in the previous months calendar
  7. Once the HR calendar is ready, review the same.

Creating an HR Calendar is the first step towards successful implementation of HR agenda.
