HR Business Partners must have consulting skills

Dave Ulrich says "it is an exciting time to be in HR". This of course applies to HR Practitioners who have made the transition from transactional HR to HR Business Partnering.  Easier said than done?  HR has the opportunity to influence business success. Estimates are that about one-third of the issues discussed at board level are HR related.  How ready are your HR professionals to take on this challenge? Ulrich feels that it is also a risky time to be in HR because the performance bar is higher and HR has to respond proactively as their role takes on a higher profile.
