How's Your Podcast Doing? Let's Find Out Shall We?

Your Podcast Should Grow Your Business—Not Just Your Listener Count. Let Me Show You How | Founder, Bizcasters
Hey! Ok so it's been a few weeks (months!) since I sent out a newsletter. I will be honest in the holiday rush and the madness of the season I let more than a few things slide. But we're back!
Over the past month, I brought on a new client for consulting services. They came to me because they felt that their podcast wasn't doing the work for their business that they wanted it to. They felt that their audience was shrinking and wanted me to take a look and see what I thought and where there might be opportunities to improve.
Of course, as it is with a lot of things in life, the first thought went to marketing - "I don't promote it enough and I don't do any clips from the epsiodes"
But...maybe that wasn't really the problem.
What we really need to do was step back and look at the whole picture. How does the podcast fit into the overall strategy for their business? Who is the ideal audience? Does the content speak to them? Can it be found by those looking for a solution?
I think sometimes we treat podcasts like its just another side project in our business rather than an integrated part of our marketing. Over time it becomes routine to just "do the podcast" to put it out there and not really evaluate how effective it truly is for you.
Most of you know - I don't judge the success of a podcast based solely on download numbers alone, but in the connections it can make you, the opportunities it can open for you to network with more people, and the chance it can offer for you to get your business discovered and help you build trust before having that sales call.
If your podcast is doing those things - then you are doing great!
If you think you might have some room to improve -- good for you for realizing it!
I was inspired by this client so I decided to give you a chance to walk through the areas of your podcast that I would evaluate in an audit to see where you might want to focus your attention to improve your podcast results.
It should only take you about 5 minutes to run through the quiz and at the end you'll see the areas that you might need to focus on. If you want to go deeper and get more focused strategies you can signup for a 15-min personalized assessment where I will go through your show and offer some actionable insights that will help improve your show!

Think - what do I wish I would have known during my podcasting journey that I can share with another podcaster to speed up the process?
I am also accepting expert guests who can teach podcasters a unique skill that will help them to grow their podcast (think social media, AI, SEO...etc).

4 周Just did it Sarah. I did well (I should hope so with you leading the #joyatworkpodcast team!) but great questions to provide food for thought as we move closer to the end of season 2 and pause to evaluate and strategise for season 3. So so sooooooo glad we’re working together on this…I can imagine it would be lonesome doing it alone.
