How’s your Mojo?

How’s your Mojo?

Have you seen people at work with contagious enthusiasm? They enjoy what they do and the joy shows in how they show up at work and get things done. People with Mojo find meaning and happiness in what they do. Sports people call this being “in the zone”, some authors refer to this by the term “flow”.

Dr.Marshall Goldsmith has the below operational definition for Mojo.

Mojo is that positive spirit toward what we are doing now that starts from the inside and radiates to the outside.

Marshall’s framework has 4 vital ingredients for us to have great Mojo.

1.Identity?

Who do you think you are? How do you perceive yourself?

2.Achievement

What have you achieved lately? These are the accomplishments that have meaning and impact.

3.Reputation

What do other people think you’ve done lately? Who do other people think you are?

4.Acceptance

What can you change, and what is beyond your control? What needs acceptance in your life?

How's your Mojo? What area is working well? What needs a check-up?

If you’re keen to improve your Mojo, grab this book, read and apply this framework to increase your meaning & happiness in your life and work.

#Thanks Marshall Goldsmith for sharing your wisdom on Mojo, this is a great asset to working professionals.
