This is how you're getting in your way

If you suspended all the internal and external chatter; all the things you believe; all your opinions; all the stored experiences and how you feel after them; and you were open to considering this:

You are the creator of ALL your experiences

You are the one who can fulfill any dream you have

You have all the answers

What would you do?

If you can’t seem to be able to do this, you can imagine it as really being granted any wish you wanted. What would you do then?

The reason you don’t believe this yet is because you think you depend on the outside world. That your future depends on your circumstances and other people. You think the outside world should be different than it is. People should behave differently. Your boss should treat you and others differently. Your mum should be less annoying. It should not rain on your holiday. People shouldn’t drive too fast or too slow on any given day.?

All depending on your mood and preference.

It’s almost as though you think you are almighty (God, Universe, etc) and that the world should be the way you want it, while at the same time being completely powerless. Because, as it turns out, the world is as it is and people are the way they are. And the rain is coming down when it does.

And you think all the external factors that you dislike are out to get you. They are the reason you are not fulfilling your dreams. And you resent them.

As long as you fight, resent the world, the people, and your experiences, you will be too busy to stop and look inside and think: give what is, what do I want to do? How do I want to be?

Do I want to keep being resentful, depressed, and blaming others?

Or do I want peace, faith, trust? Do I want to take responsibility for my world, for how I perceive everything, for how I experience life??

Little is possible when you place all your expectations on the outside to change, so it can fit you.?

In letting go of your preferences and expectations, you will find the peace and the time to understand how powerful you are, how powerful your mind is when it’s not busy disliking and being fearful of everything.

And how generous the Universe is when you stop fighting it and wishing it were different.

“And how generous the Universe is when you stop fighting it and wishing it were different.” - beautifully said, Monica. This reminded me of a quote from a book I recently completed (Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse) ????
