How will you be remembered?

How will you be remembered?

Remember being in the school restroom or passing a tree where names were carved with the words "I was here"? It felt so important to let people know you existed. Don’t forget to let the world know you were here.

The passing of four immediate family members made me reflect deeply on how they will be remembered. Who will know they were here? Did my mom carve her name somewhere? She did, in the hearts of people who got off drugs because she was there to support their sobriety. Publicly, she may never be mentioned because her work wasn’t captured on video, archived in magazines, or featured on the news. Yet, she was an icon, a leader in our community, and most importantly, she knew her life belonged to a higher purpose, to help others as God intended.

How will people remember you?

Will they even know you were here?

I began this journey over 20 years ago, using my gifts to publicly archive the stories of people who are positively impacting the world. Publishing Keynote Magazine allows us to extend coverage for speakers into print and digital media, while our collective community, Keynote Speakers Hub, enables us to grow together as a supportive network.

I understand that my assignment is to curate positive content to counteract the negative narratives often syndicated across mainstream media today. My goal is to change the narrative.

Don’t let your story go untold. Make sure the world knows you were here.

Great topic! There is a big difference between being significant and living a life of significance. Too often people focus on being significant vs truly focusing on being someone of significance to the lives of people around them. When we pour into others and change their lives in positive ways, we become people of significance to them and often that impact has a ripple effect on the lives they touch and so forth. I want to have that ripple effect when it’s all said and done
