How You Rank or How You Are Rank?
There is a site I rarely use that includes where I rank in terms of popularity on the site.Upon joining I ranked #22,359. That was probably the number of users at the time. After filling out my profile and engaging in the chat room I rose to the top twenty thousand.
By engaging I moved up to the fifteen thousand range. That and seven dollars might get me Starbucks Coffee. Recalling this did not inspire me to look at that site. They are constantly asking me to upgrade. Sound familiar? With a basic account I can see five pictures from connections.
Upgrading allows me to see every picture. Wouldn't I rather engage with someone instead of looking at them having fun with others? I never met the adults with slide projectors. Before social media people would invite you to their house and show slides from their latest vacation.
At least you are in the same room and they could describe nuances from Hawaii or wherever they went. Where do I rank in the world of LinkedIn? Very low. Does that keep me from cultivating ideas and bragging that I have one million views?
Video heads don't realize a "view" is counted after three seconds. Only a handful of video creators inspire me to watch the whole video. Anyone who brags because many started to watch and lost interest? Unless you have received one million likes or comments I concede to Dwayne Johnson circa 1998.
"It doesn't matter how many views you have!" You have no idea how many jibroneys make LinkedIn videos. If you smell what I am cooking: remain true to yourself, speak from the heart, be an individual and don't care where someone else ranks you based on some algorithm. You are one of one- act accordingly.
