You've made mistakes. You weren't born into the right family. You don't have the academic pedigree, professional experience, or social networks. You aren't surrounded by family, friends, or peers that are supportive of you. OK. Now, here's a list of things you do have at your disposal, and steps you can take.

1. READ / LEARN NEW THINGS: As entrepreneurs our compensation is correlate with our ability to solve problems. You can punch above your weight class and you will be inevitably invited into "the room", if you are more efficient and more cost effective at solving bigger problems than your competition. Build taller buildings, and your academic and professional background no longer matters.

2. WAKE UP AT 5AM. Waking up 2-3 hours before everyone else ensures that you will accomplish more by 12PM than 98% of the herd due to the absence of distractions.Eat the frog first thing in the morning.

3 hours per day, 6 days a week, is 18 hours per week. Multiply 18 hours weekly by your average commission or compensation, then again by 52 weeks and the impact becomes self evident. Don't let W-2s camouflaged as entrepreneurial gurus fool you into drinking the kool aid. The best athletes, musicians, and fill in the blank put in extra hours in the film room and rehearsals.

3. Live in the short term like others wont, so you can enjoy freedoms others will never know. House hack. Buy the used car. Bike. Catch the bus. Go to the grocery store. Eat vegetarian. No steak and juice, my life is great pics on the gram. Make decisions as opposed to sacrifices.

A thousand dollars saved per month is $12,000 in savings annually. Couple $12,000, good personal credit, with good business credit (secret weapon), and even if you're making just above minimal wage you'll be able to move in a way 50k, 100k, or even 200k income earners wish they could.
