See the above picture of ingredients from a leading health supplements manufacturer and distributor. If they are willing to list their full ingredients right on their site, then why wouldn't consumers just go and try to purchase each ingredient individually? There is one answer: they have a very valuable brand. You can prove this by walking through what a person would have to do to purchase each individually. Actually, I notice in this screenshot they have some trademarked proprietary mixes. Some of their products don't, though, and that is how you know that their brand is highly trusted by their customers and therefore, highly valuable.
