How Are You Keeping It Together?!

Last weekend I was with a friend and he asked me how I seem to keep my shit together.

I explained to him that there are some simple principles located in the Holy Bible that if you follow them, it is impossible to fuck your life up.

Anytime someone’s life seems to fall apart, it’s because they strayed away from these biblical principles.

Most of these principles are found in the book of Proverbs. The wisdom Solomon left for us in that book is unmatched.

Not all of the Biblical principles are in Proverbs though.

In the book of 1 Chronicles, there’s a brief story about a man named Jabez.

There’s not much about him, but the lesson he left for us is one of my all time favorite lessons and stories.

Jabez prayed to God in a special way asking “Lord increase my territory and measure without me causing pain to anyone”

Jabez wanted more but he didn’t want his more to be taken from someone else.

The saying “You don’t have to snuff out someone else’s light for yours to shine bright.”

I live my life by this principle.

If it increases my value but decreases someone else’s, I don’t want it.

If it increases my value and doesn’t negatively affect others, I’m all about it.

Most people will advance themselves at the expense of others. This is why their wealth never last more than a small period of time.

The principle behind Jabez’s prayer is one I’ve lived my life by for years now.

“Lord increase me without decreasing anyone because of me”

That’s my prayer and thought process on every deal I do. I only do it if it helps everyone.

I encourage you to learn more principles like this. When you live by them it’s impossible to fuck your life up. I’m living proof.
