How are you?
Often at times, our answer to this question is in the positive (I’m fine). This is the generally accepted response, the expected feedback; but truly, how are you? Take a minimum of 15 seconds to juxtapose this question comprehensively and you might start unravelling hints like:
Remember when Jesus asked the disciples in Matthew 16 “who do men say I am?”
The disciples gave him the generally accepted response: “You are John the Baptist”; “You are Elijah”; “You are Jeremiah”
But Jesus said “personally, who do you say I am?” Then Peter noted this is not a question needing the GA answer, said “You are the Messiah, the son of the living God”.
Just like He’s asking now (this is not Femi asking) “How are you, my child?”
To sincerely and truthfully answer that to yourself, you need to be FREE and here, I love the way Rev. Doris Hokett defines FREE:

F: Forgive everyone (Math 6:14-15): Unforgiveness is like a cancer, it’ll spread, spill over and eat up every quarter of its carrier.
R: Reject fear. Fear paralyses, fear stagnates. Remember the spies that were sent to spy the land, the owners of the land didn’t call them names, the spies themselves said “we in our own eyes were like grasshoppers.”
E: Expect Deliverance, whatever it is you’re experiencing, God is able to make a way. The bible says he has delivered us from the snares of the fowler.
E: Enjoy peace (phil4:7). You need to ignite that thing in you that gives you rest. It’s a work-in-progress but if you keep at it, you’ll experience peace, the one God gives.
So, how are you?
The Lord has lifted, the freedom has come.
