When it comes to evaluating a fresh candidate, the foremost criterion is the academic record. Academic credentials of SSC (Matric) and HSSC (FSc) get higher weightage as compared to the GPA in BS/MS. However, for senior-level positions, the relevant experience gets higher precedence.??

2. Certification ??

Having a certification on your profile boosts the likelihood of an interview call. However, during the interview, the expectation from the candidate is that he/she has a strong understanding of topics covered in the certification, especially the basics. For example, if you have mentioned CCNA or CCNP certification in your profile, you must know the OSI layer model in detail.?

In case a candidate does not have any certification, his/her final year project is evaluated.?

3. Relevant Job Experience ??

This criterion is given careful consideration when hiring for senior positions. We look for prior experience that matches the job description in candidates. It is expected that the candidates would be able to justify the skillset mentioned on their resume during the interview.

For fresh graduates, we consider the semester projects and internship experience for evaluation.

4. Analytical/ Problem Solving Skills???

Great to see new graduates can highlight and apply experience from their projects. Have you found that those with less “experience” tackle problems in new ways in this strict discipline?
