Some of you may have heard this phrase if you are a regular reader of our award winning weekly newsletter (Check out a sample HERE) you have seen Dr. Greger's video's.
Many of you know, I primarily eat a plant based diet. Bear in mind, diets can be healthy or not so healthy depending on what they are made up with.
If one ate nothing but French fries and onion rings for 3 meals a day, would that be healthier than a chicken Caesar salad? Hardly. The abundance of this fried food would be "plant based" but not recommended.
What Dr. Greger is trying to get us to do is incorporate these Daily Dozen foods into our diet.
If most of us added only 6 of them a day, we would be on our way to eating a much healthier diet than probably most of the US population.
Hey, I'm not perfect. Some days I get to the 12 but being honest, I probably fall into the 9 to 10 category most days.
Since many of these 12 can be combined in one meal, it is actually easier than you think.
So, if this idea is of interest, lets not wait until New Years Day to incorporate healthier habits! Please feel free to reach out to me. I'm happy to help share with you, what works for me. Click HERE to see my calendar.
