How will you be creative and curious at work this May?

When do we stop learning?
Fact: In the UK, 20.9% of people between the ages of 25 and 64 have lower than upper secondary education (ONS 2015). Does this mean that we stop learning when we leave school?
A quick Q&A around our office reveals that:
· ‘I learned all my Excel skills in my previous job.’
· ‘I didn't know anything about PowerPoint until I had to do a presentation for a course I was delivering at a charity training weekend.’
· ‘It was at my local amateur dramatics that I learned about standing in front of people and projecting my voice.’
· ‘I am still trying to learn how to work LinkedIn.’
Learning never ends. We learn every day in more ways that we realise. Every day is a school day, as someone once said.
May will come round very soon, hurtling at us with its Learning At Work Week – a campaign encouraging organisations and their staff to take on new challenges, learn new skills and discover new talents. Learning at work week - be inspired
This year’s title, Creative & Curious, will cover all sorts of courses, skills and workshops.
Will you take advantage? You could centre yourself with a mindfulness workshop; you could taste healthy meals prepared with your own hands; you could learn how to save a life; or you could get to know how to look after your heart better. This Learning At Work campaign might just be the thing to help you keep healthy, happy and productive.
So what are you waiting for? Get learning with our interactive workshops, webinars and apps. And don’t forget to invite your staff!
