How are you coping with challenges?

We had a great two years with the pandemic, didn't we? and before that cool down we have a war between Ukraine and Russia or better say between West and East? I won't get into politics although I do have a strong solid opinion about it.
How all this makes you feel? I am always keeping myself informed about the world, you could say I am a freak with learning in all levels, maybe the political bug is still in me. The world is quite challenging now, we have Iraq trying to voice out their basic human rights that for other countries are taken for granted(always be grateful), then as I have mentioned before probably a WWIII is going to start and maybe even a nuclear war as they were all telling about the 24th of September. Winter is coming and we are all feeling a little bit anxious, stressed and scared I will dare to say.
I was in Aldi the other days and I felt anxious and insecure, why? Nearly and I am talking seriously nearly all the shelves were empty at 10am on Tuesday! I asked the teller and they told me that they restock every day! That moment took me back in 2013 where we had the haircut in Cyprus and were "starving", people were loosing their homes, personally I had to start over for second time. It reminded me that feeling we all had during the pandemic, that uncertainty. What's next?
No I am not here to make you feel sad but on the contrary, I want to ask you how are you coping with all this? Would you like to know how I am copying? I have started my business a learning & development company focusing in First Aid Courses and Mental Health. Not the greatest time most of my friends said but and here is how I am copying with the challenges around us.
There was always a challenge maybe not a WWW III but we got closed to that a few times so far. No body knows what is going to happen tomorrow or in the next few mnutes so there is only one thing that we can do.
Create a friendly and positive enviroment around you, create your shield which will protect your sanity from the cruelty of the facts. That doesn't eman that you are creating a pin utopistic bubble. You are creating a safe space for yourself or else if you allow to the news, to the negative colleuaqes or family get into your head then you might be F^%$£*.

We should try to control what we can and that is our shield (safe place and environment) and our behavior. Find ways to escape and be happy. I don't know what is going to happen but what I now is that we are still here, people are still dying from simpler reasons. Focus on the present which yes it is not that simple but keep reminding yourself that it is the only thing that you got for now. Instead of being stressed and worrying about tomorrow and next week, focus on enjoying your life now, go that walk with your dog carefree and play. Play with your kids. It is weekend, let behind you all the worrying because you cannot affect anything that you cannot affect, simple as that. But you can redirect your focus on the people you love and have a good time.
