HOW YOU CAN WIN!

HOW YOU CAN WIN!

I’ve shared this concept a number of times, but the two ways to win are:

Be Better

Be Different

Being better is a long-term strategy that you should pursue...and you likely are.

Being different… now that’s a different story.

Being different has been a path that has been part of every success that I’ve ever been a part of:

  • When I started coaching college baseball I had virtually no experience (I became a Head College Coach at age 23) so I knew that I needed to be different than everyone else.
  • I approached my recruiting differently, my game and practice strategy differently and the strength & conditioning differently than any other program in the country.

The result was that we went from one of the worst programs In the country to a nationally competitive one in just 3 years.

When I started my first training business in 2004, the norm was 60 minute sessions and selling in packages of 12 or 24 sessions.

  • We did 30 minute sessions, used EFT billing and 12 month programs from day one.

We went from zero to over 400 clients in 18 months.

  • When I launched my first franchise, there were zero other youth fitness & sports performance franchises targeting independent coaches…they all were aimed at investor groups or health clubs wanting to add on a profit center.

The franchise went from zero to 50 locations in just 2 years.

  • When I launched my 2nd franchise, there had never been a franchise (still hasn’t ben another) that let the owner keep their own brand, their own identity, their own style…if they chose, while we’d focus on providing the systems, tools and support to give them the success they wanted.

Within a year, it was the fastest growing training franchise in the country.

Being better was and is a critical part of the equation.

Once each business or project was on its way, that was the #1 focal point by far.

But being different gave me the ability to be ‘apples vs oranges’ against every other competitor.

An easy way to differentiate when describing and marketing what I did.

I can’t tell you how powerful this can be if you’re willing to take this approach…but most won’t.

Most are afraid, as being different feels risky.

But often, it’s just the opposite.

Virtually every BIG achievement begins with being different.

So do you want to settle for being average…or will you be different?

If the answer is 'Yes, I want to be different,' but you're not sure where to start, let's set up a time to talk.

Comment here with 'Different,' and we'll figure out your best path forward.

Dedicated to Your Success,
