LEADERSHIP TRANSFORMATION

How you can transform and change as a Leader through Coaching?

Many people have a vision for a better future, including the life they want to live, a career they wish to have and of course the money they wish they had in their bank accounts. Often people know they have the potential to live such a life but they are limited in the use of their abilities, limited in their use of resources available to them to be at such a point in their life where they can be their best, where they can be at their highest potential.

But here is a fact; Life doesn't come with an Instructions Manual.

In the absence of a plan or a road map to success, our dreams and vision gets distorted or paused or tangled in a knot of impossibilities.

When you start your coaching conversation with a coach, you make an investment in finding and transcending to a life of possibilities that seemed previously impossible. Because the coach can give you clarity and simplifies the journey of making the impossible possible, you become a magnet for attracting opportunities that pulls you in Your True North (your true direction/ inner compass).

Although working with a coach makes this journey lighter and faster, however this journey is not for the faint of heart.

According to a study published in the Harvard Business Review; in order for the coachee/ executive to get the most out of coaching, the coachee/executive must have a desire to Learn and Grow.

The journey of going from point A to point B requires inspiration, deep focus and wide exploration to each step of this constructive self development journey.

"The best part of growth is the true pleasure that comes from expanding one’s worldview, outgrowing current constructs" - Margaret Moore.

Growth comes when you leave the comfort of your thoughts, your self perceptions of reality, because when you push yourself to think beyond your expected realities; you can gain new insights, new possibilities; and then you are able to breakthrough your limitations, roadblocks or mindsets that had been holding you back, previously.

A Coach gives coachee the tools to draw/ construct the steps that are required to reach the destination. And through the facilitation of the coach, a coachee gets a higher level of competence and consciousness, and s/he feels energized in growing awareness in their abilities. Sometimes with the use of right tools a coachee experiences a transformational shift or 'Ah-ha moments'. Sometimes a coachee may experience a fall or a growth edge (an obstacle or a challenge) that require us to change. A change that needs a shift in our mental ability to relate things, or a shift in behaviors, or the change in the way we work or relate to others at office. These moments of change calls for a coach to reach in their toolbox and help the coachee find creative inspiration and climb to a new step by taking small leaps towards development and soon the obstacle becomes the way (A perspective offered by Greek Stoics was to view the obstacle as the way.)

Once the coachee achieves a certain milestone, it's a moment of celebration and happiness for both the coachee and the coach. The progress made along the journey, the wisdom gained for growth and new perspectives, creates a memorable experience. Today's milestone will be tomorrows plateau and the beginning of a new journey for achieving another milestone, taking you closer to your dreams.

“The activities you are most afraid of are the activities that can cause a breakthrough in your success. Step into them.” @DarrenHardy

When people are inspired, they don't need to be motivated! Elite leaders are great teammates that inspire others to aspire by their example, integrity and humility. An elite leader is a terrific teacher that make themselves progressively unnecessary in order for an organization and those around them to prosper. (Which probably explains why that in study after study, it is proven that those which focused influence on a job had lower success scores and incomes than those who focused on pleasing their supervisors) The elite leader, will use hope and expressed optimism rather than fear and pessimism to gain support. As optimists they are more apt to find solutions as opposed to the pessimist that will seek to find a problem for every solution invented by someone else. To be a true leader, one must put themselves in a position to stand for principles. Only then can they ask followers to take risks and unselfishly pursue serving a higher goal. The goal, for the elite leader is not accolades and applause, it is to foster the sustainable growth and development of by creating new leaders rather than merely more followers.... continue reading here https://lnkd.in/duPH2zC
