Welcome to 2021....2022 - Newsletter 01 in the series of total 52 articles.
Let’s start from the beginning.
You’ll not repeat the same mistakes again which you did last year. It’s already 2022 and if you’re just scrolling on LinkedIn or other platforms then you’ve a serious problem my friend.
Look forward to the bigger perspectives, and have a bigger mission. I’ve no idea if you’ve ever crafted your mission statement but if you’re reading this article, it means you’re going to write your own mission statement right away!. Otherwise what is the point of reading this article.
How to Write a Mission Statement?
It’s fairly simple yet more important to write down your mission statement. It would be great if you can put it on your LinkedIn profile headline as well. Just look at my profile headline. How cool it is!
Alright!
Let’s dive into it.
Two things you need:
1. Target Group: You need to identify your target group. You have to go ultra specific while deciding target group. A very generic target group are not going to work.
For example, my target group is Founders or CEOs. This is still wide. How about zero down this by adding industry specific filter. My new target group is: SaaS founders/CEO.
Fair enough but, you want to go even more deeper then you may say, my TG is Founders/CEOs of small SaaS companies (company size in between 5-10 people)
2. What Problems You Solve: Among the 10 different problems you’re currently solving, you need to narrow down very specific pain point and pick only one problem -and-solution which has maximum impact on your TG. That should be your focus area.
Examples:
Write that one very specific problem along with one-liner solution. How you help them – in short and crispy sentence. That’s your SOLUTION you’re gonna sell.
Template: I help [People] to [to solve this problem]
Use this template to write your mission statement and proudly put it on your profile headline. If you’ve noticed, I do have mission statement which is added in my profile headline.
I help people get visible on LinkedIn to grow their business.
I’m appealing someone who is trying to establish on LinkedIn but struggling to get visibility and grow their business. I also have one more mission statement which is kind of align to this one but more relevant to my cohort course that is:
"I help people building audience on LinkedIn to monetize it"
?? Exercise: Write your mission statement using the template and add it to your profile headline section.

If your goals are realistic (at some extend, ambitious goals are also fine) and your audience relates with it then people do engage with your content.
Here is what I wrote for the first day of the year:

Today is 2nd business day of the year. You’re still not late. You can write down your goals, resolutions or simply things you want to do in 2022 and share it on LinkedIn. Tag me on your post so I can engage and give little more exposure to your content.
?? Exercise: Write 5-10 things you want to do in 2022 and publish it on LinkedIn. That’s it.
PS- Don't just write goals, make a plan and start taking actions to achieve them.

Are you a perfectionist? Do you hold your horses until you feel 100% sure?
Let me tell you one thing, no one has ever 100% sure about anything! Don’t make mistake to be a perfectionist and stop taking actions.
It doesn’t matter how much you already know, half of the things you’ll figure it out on the go when you actually start working on it.
If you still doubt on your content writing or have some sort of fear then this is right time to give yourself freedom to write sh*ty content more and more so you can be a pro to become a good writer. Irrespective of your current filed, role; writing online can change your life forever.
I often say, you don’t have to be a writer to start writing on LinkedIn. You need content creation system. That’s it. I go very deep into building content creation system and sharing insights in my 2-week live cohort based course.

Web 3.0
Nowadays everyone around us talks about Web 3 . Especially if you use Twitter then you must be aware about what type of conversations are happening at the moment.
We all have to understand that there is something powerful in web 3.0 . The earlier you learn web 3 the better way you can leverage this new tech.

Summary:
If you’re an individual or a brand, mission statement is kind of very important thing. Don’t hesitate to share your goals, wins, achievement throughout the journey. I highly recommend to start learning about web 3.0.
