How to write a great referral email ??

Hey friend,

I’m writing this freshly after a Userlist monthly hangout. That is when we catch up on what we’ve been up to and what we’re planning to do before we get to goof off.

Sometimes that means discussions on the randomest of topics (anything in the realm of food, books, TV, hobbies), but also play a game.

The one we go back to the most often is draw battle. Today we had a pretty close tie until a faulty internet connection allowed my team a very close victory.

If you have examples of similar games we can try out in one of our future hangouts, do share.

In the meantime, here’s what we’ve been up to…

This is a repost of our monthly newsletter.?This edition initially went out on July 9. Sign up if you don't want to miss the next one.

Product updates

While a bad cold took me out for half a month, the product team kept quite busy. They rolled out new advanced logic for workflows:

  • Repeat Until keeps repeating your actions until the desired condition is met. Think of this as a cycle or a loop.
  • Production System works great when you’re not sure what order of actions the user will take. This node checks all paths one by one, from left to right.

Both nodes are available to our customers on the Professional plan.?

From our miscellaneous drawer

  • If you’re not entirely sure if opens and clicks are still a valid metric, and how you should actually measure engagement these days, this article by Steve Atkins atkins will help.
  • Added inspiration for your marketing dashboard in this one.
  • A breakdown of how Amplitude became what it is today (and also possibly my new favorite newsletter out there).

And this would be a wrap for this month.

If you have any topics, ideas, or questions you’d like to discuss, reply to us. If you know anyone who could benefit from using Userlist , invite them to?book a demo.

Until next month ????
