How to write copy that sells: Tip #1 ??

How to write copy that sells: Tip #1 ??

Read the headline you just wrote.

Could you copy and paste it and apply it to anyone else’s business pretty effortlessly?

Would the headline still make sense if you applied it to another website - whether a competitor or completely unrelated?

If so, you’ve got yourself some vague copy.

Vague copy = weak copy.

Example from this week :

“Jump into Success with COMPANY NAME”

Success is about as vague of a term as possible.

It’s means different things to different people.

It means everything and nothing at the same time.

We could apply that headline to literally any company under the sun. And if your goal is to make sure your company is completely invisible - this is a good method.

For the rest of us…

Copy that sells is an intimate experience.

It’s about whispering things to your potential customer that may not make sense to everyone else, but are those sweet, sweet nothings to them.

When you’re creating headlines if it can apply to anyone else - you’re too vague, and they’ve already scrolled by.

Copy = secret love language between you and your customers. ??

Aim for nobody else to get it.
