How to Write a Business Mission?

Writing business mission is one of the most daunting tasks that a strategy team could encounter, since it seems unclear what to write regards to what you are doing. Each organization has a lot of tasks to perform, several goals to achieve and selecting the major one from them to write as a mission for the organization is absolutely not simple work.

The mission could be simply identified as; the most important goal of the organization or the goal of the highest level that could be as a context for all other goals and actions.

So the major questions a strategy team must ask to themselves during establishing the mission could be;

•  Who we are as an organization?
•  Why does our organization exist?
• What are the values we believe in and what are the values we introduce to our customers and our key stakeholders?
•  What is our competitive advantage(s) that differentiates us from other competitors and other key players?
