The world of fitness has become the wild-wild west. With so much conflicting information out there, how are you supposed to know what actually works versus what doesn't? In this article, I am going to outline 3 big rocks for you to focus on to help you get fit in a sustainable way. No quick fixes, no fads, and instead just basic fundamentals that will get you going on the right path from a simple and sustainable place.
1- Focus the majority of your diet on Whole Foods- the foods you can naturally find in nature are an excellent starting point for your to improve your health and fitness. Think fruits and vegetables, eggs, poultry, whole grains, etc. Do not overcomplicate it.
2- Start a resistance training program- one of the best investments you can make for your long term metabolic health is to begin resistance training. There are a host of benefits of resistance training which include better body composition, increased energy, improved bone density and improved functional strength. 3- Leisure walk daily- walking is one of the simplest yet most effective habits to help improve your health and fitness. A great daily target to aim for is around 8-10k steps a day. Walk more to better health and fitness.
