After shifting to US in 2020, and working from home for almost two years, a different boredom had set in. I no longer felt the enthusiasm to start my work in the morning. Everything seemed to be very boring, and I was feeling very demotivated. One day, the internet in the house stopped working and I was forced to get ready and had to rush to Starbucks to present the sprint end review meeting.
After my meetings ended, I looked around, the place was full of energy, colors and people. It was the lunch hour, I ordered Cafe Latte and a brownie, lovely music was playing in the background, I started dancing while sipping coffee. I met a lovely lady, and she complimented me on my long hair and my formal attire. It had been a while, since I had received a compliment and that too from a complete stranger. It felt really good and boosted my self-confidence.
I saw, the folks who were working on this Starbucks were studying in college and full of life, they had smiles on their faces with their green aprons. I ended my day at 4 pm PST with another coffee and made a promise to myself to visit Starbucks every Friday.
My day was full of happiness and a new energy. I had read in books that your workplace's ambience could do wonders to your productivity. I experienced it myself. All good ideas like writing my first book, startup idea for my sister's artwork, all come to me at Starbucks.
I try to visit maximum Starbucks on my journey in California and I really like the decor they do around Christmas, it's so lovely and has the warmth of holidays and family.

Sometimes, Google maps confuse Starbucks near my city as HOME. Whenever you get isolated or sad in United States, visit Starbucks near your place and you would never come back home sad is my guarantee. Please note that this is not a sponsored article.
You can go from Starbucks to any other cafe or malls, it is the environment which takes the stress away and makes you focus on your goals.
It is home, away from home for me !!
