How to WIN at Social Media

Social media is a conundrum. It's important if you want to grow your business, because you've got to get the word out about your services and products, but at the same time, it's probably the most EXHAUSTING and never-ending task in business.
42.2% of business owners report feeling burned out about struggling with the ever-changing trends and algorithms of each social media platform. It is a challenge we all face to come up with fresh and regular content that will connect you to potential clients and partners.
That's a fancy way of saying that sometimes keeping consistent and getting results on social media SUCKS for most of us, and any help forthcoming is very welcome!
PS: Stick around until the end - I've got a little gift for you.
Scheduling My Social Media is What WORKS for Me
I admit I am an odd duck and that most people aren't juggling THREE different businesses and TEN different social media accounts on the daily, but I can't be the ONLY one! I decided about a decade ago that the only way to juggle all this and stay relatively SANE was to employ a scheduling tool.
Don't believe me? I have one LinkedIn account and then Your Fairy Techmother has Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, Your Fairy Debtmother has Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, and my travel/lifestyle blog has, you guessed it - Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. That's TEN and I post to most of them 3-5 times per week.
I know, it sounds overwhelming, but I actually probably spend LESS time working on my social media than you do!
I use a method I call COPE
Create
Once
Publish
EVERYWHERE
When I create a new post, I usually can set it up to publish to 3-4 accounts at different times. Let's say I'm publishing a post about my debt-free coaching services. I create one image in a square format (compatible everywhere), write the appropriate caption, and then schedule it up to post to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
It's not only a huge time-saver, but that way, I reach a larger audience by reaching four mostly different sets of Followers. There might be a few people who follow me in a couple of places, but I've never heard any complaints.
Some times I vary it with a quick video, or a carousel post, but usually I stick with simple Canva images.
Here's my Secret Weapon - Automatic Repeats
I don't know if some of the other popular schedulers have this, but my scheduler has an auto-repeat feature. I can control it, of course, but most of my posts will repeat every few months.
My thinking is that if something is helpful and informative enough to post once, it's worth repeating. Especially if it's only repeating every few months. By then, you'll likely have a whole bunch of new Followers who have never seen it.
And honestly, most people can't even remember their Netflix password. Do you really think they're going to remember something you last posted on April 18th?
But What Should I Post Anyway?
I'm always kinda surprised when people ask this question because there are a TON of things you can post on your social media. Here are just a few examples:
See, there's tons of options for what to post. Be sure and ask open-ended questions to get people commenting, and be sure to reply to each comment.
What Scheduler Do You Use?
I know there are quite a few different ones out there, but I'm going to give you one you've probably never heard of - SmarterQueue. They are a brilliant choice, but they suck at advertising, so you've likely never heard of them.
I actually met with their team last week and we're working on some new ideas for the platform.
Here's what makes them such a great choice:
Even better, if you use my affiliate code, you get a free MONTH of SmarterQueue rather than the normal 2-week trial. Plus, as a THANK YOU for using my affiliate code, I'll hop on a Zoom and show you how to set it up.
How I Can Help You with Social Media Posting
Well, obviously I like this kind of stuff and I'm pretty good at it. If it's something you really HATE doing and especially if you aren't posting consistently, you'd be smart to let me just handle it for you. That could be a total WIN for your business, especially if it increases your visibility to your ideal clients.
So, what do you think? I've got openings for two new clients starting in Sept. I'd post 3 times per week including images and captions and you get a big task OFF your plate. Hit me up for a chat if you're interested.
I'll be back soon with more helpful tips for you.
I promised you a gift - here's my social media checklist for you. I hope you'll enjoy it!

3 个月Love the checklist! Thanks for sharing! I like to batch enter content as well. Makes it easier to manage if you upload all the images and captions at once and schedule it out. I like the idea of automatically repeating content after a few months. Great tip!
