How to Win in Sales
Know your numbers and Know which numbers really matter.
In our Sales world, there are a lot of numbers. Some are very important and Some are not.
When I run a race I need to know only 3 numbers. They are the times at the following marks.
8.6km Mark
11km Mark
17 Km Mark
These numbers are each very important to me for different reasons as they help measure and adjust as I run. In Running Like sales, we need to adjust as we go. The first number tells me that I have not started not too fast. The second number tells me to pick up the pace as my body should be naturally breathing better and taking in more oxygen. I should be very comfortable and in (cruise mode) by now. If I am not then I will make an adjustment. If I am then I will make an adjustment. The last number is HAMMER TIME, where I will make decision to put down the hammer and break my record today or save my self for another day. Both are great decisions and I will celebrate either way. In my running life I live for this number as it is a very exciting time, just like when we are just about to close a sale. Magic. Celebrate it either way.
