In my opinion, it comes down to 3 things.

NO EGOS

It’s a team game.?Sure there might be a situation where there is a one on one situation but you have to get to that situation.?Even then, each player is playing a role. Whether it’s setting a screen or being a decoy, every player has a role.?

But when you play your part and stay in your lane, the team has a better shot at winning.

BE A TEAM PLAYER

You can’t outrun the ball, now matter how hard you try. The mindset is to never be complacent. There is always a better shot. You have 24 seconds to find it.?When you keep the ball moving, what you are doing is waiting for your opponent to make a mistake. And when you find it, be quick to exploit it.?

The best spurs teams are known to have played?the “beautiful game”.?And what did they do??They passed the ball until their opponents tapped out from dizziness. It was total team basketball.?

HUSTLE YOUR ASS OFF

You never know where the ball is going to go but when you hustle, you put yourself in position to score.?Highlights are full of players being in the right spot at the right time.
