This is how we're advertising Intranet Insights 2024
I wanted to give you all a behind-the-scenes look at how we've recently set up some Facebook ad campaigns for our new (free) events:
If you read this Newsletter, you will know that both of these events are being set up in ChallengeFuel and WebinarFuel (which we bought recently).
To be honest, it was quite an adventure learning and navigating my around ChallengeFuel and WebinarFuel - they're powerful but also complex. Still, it's now opened up some really exciting new ways for us to engage with our audience at scale.
How have I created the ads?
Anyway, now they're up and registration open, I wanted to share how we're doing the Facebook Ads. To create the ads for our two new events, I wanted to move away from just blasting out generic promos. We wanted to really connect with people's pain points and interests through our ad messaging. The headlines and copy weren't just random word salads - we put a lot of thought into crafting messages that would resonate.
Take the headlines for the Intranet Insights event, for example. We've setup ones like "Transform Your SharePoint Into a Collaboration Powerhouse!" to speak to that hunger for improved productivity and teamwork.
Then there was "Where SharePoint Experts Reveal Secrets to Digital Workplace Success!" to tap into people's desire to learn from the pros. Each headline was like a key designed to unlock a different motivator in our audience.
The ad copy took a similar tack with variations emphasizing things like:
We doubled down on that theme of urgency and FOMO in a few ads with lines like "before all seats are gone" to spur people to register quickly.
To give you a clearer picture, one variation really played up the revolutionary change and ROI that attendees could expect, leveraging our speakers' credentials.
Another focused on solving the pain of being stuck with an underperforming intranet. And a third sold the dream of an ideal digital workplace, positioning our event as the way to make it a reality.
A couple of other variations combined the transformation angle with the value of being part of an engaged community and gaining insider insights from the experts. The goal was to have something for everyone based on their interests and motivations.
The multifaceted approach aimed to educate and inspire just as much as promote the events. We wanted each ad to be like a window into the world of possibilities that awaited attendees.
It was just our first swing at bat with Facebook ads, but I'm excited to apply what we've learned as we keep exploring new marketing frontiers. We'll keep you posted! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Here's the Ad Images for Intranet Insights:
I wanted to create an ad that resonates with those that seek a professional looking ad:
I also like to try ads that will "stop the scroll" in the feed. (This one is winning)
And in addition I even create ads that feel like they're normal/native social posts:
What's it costing so far?
Early indications (day 2) are that it's going to be $5-7 to get someone registered for free, which is a little high, but as the ads learn I expect that to drop. If it doesn't lower then I will need to drop some new ads in or go for a different audience.
I am fairly confident that our All-Access Pass will cover the ad costs as we've already seen great conversion rates on it. If you're interested how I did that, then take a look at how we made the Intranet Insights 2024 All-Access Offer Impossible to Ignore!

8 个月Mark Jones, Jon M. and Fraser Beadle: this makes me feel "even better" about our collaborative partnership! I love that you are putting so much work into promoting this program, and I truly believe that it will help people. Maybe help a lot of people: to work better together, soften the pain of remote working, and help solve the mystery in their #Microsoft365 and #SharePoint stories. AND I love that you are sharing the behind the scenes marketing strategy here! It's so open and interesting, and it really underlines that you (we) want to help people, and by helping people be successful, we too can be successful. By being transparent, we bring our best selves to the task and are kept accountable to do good work with integrity. I am honoured to be working with Collab365, thrilled to be part of this program, and humbled to be mentioned in this article. Let's knock it out of the park.
