How We'll Start Fiscal Year 2024

How We'll Start Fiscal Year 2024

Not to rush things, but the end of the current federal fiscal year on September 30th also means the start of Fiscal Year 2024, and new opportunities for federal contractors and federal agencies to achieve new victories. At 5:00 pm on October 3rd we'll gather with friends and colleagues to celebrate this at the 2024 Fiscal New Year's Bash at the Hotel Arundel in Hanover, MD. This year the Bash is presented by our friends at Infotrend Inc , a local federal contractor doing great things in the world of eDiscovery, Application Development, and Data Management Services. Yes, it is our excuse to bring together people we know, and those we'll get to know, but it's also a chance to look back, and look forward. The backdrop for this New Year's themed celebration is lots of really amazing food, a splendid venue, cocktails, mocktails, and music. But wait, there's more!

There is also content that will uplift and empower you to achieve great things in the coming fiscal year, and beyond. Let me roll this back for just a second, and paint a better picture for you. When you arrive at The Hotel Arundel, you will note parking is plentiful, free, and a very short walk to the venue.

The Hotel Arundel in Hanover, MD

Once inside, you'll see why we chose this location to host the Bash, our training and mastermind group programs. It's a venue that sets the mood for learning, growth, and fun!

Hotel Arundel Lobby

On the evening of the Fiscal New Year's Bash, you'll be guided to the second floor, where all of the fun and festivities will take place. The main part of the Bash will be in the ballroom, the photobooth (sponsored by our friends at Global Services ) will be one of the first things you see coming up the stairs or off of the elevators, as well as our team standing by to greet you at the registration desk.

Once you are checked-in, you can jump into the photobooth, or grab a cocktail or mocktail at the first of two bars (sponsored by our friends at IT Availability LLC ). If you like, you can head into the ballroom to get right to networking, or make a quick stop by the sushi bar, sponsored by our friends (and returning sponsors) Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions .

Don't worry. I'm getting to the content, shortly.

To no one's surprise, I will be on the stage with a microphone (do I really need one?) helping to get the show on-the-road. This year, however, I've brought back-up in the form of Stephanie Geiger , a long-time B2G marketing professional I've known for many years. The last time Stephanie and I were on stage together (last year), she was handing me a lifetime achievement award, for which I an extremely grateful. After the initial formalities are finished, Stephanie will take over to ensure everyone knows what is happening, and when it is happening. Specifically, the information portion of the Fiscal New Year's Bash. Shortly after the formal start of Bash activities, the first of three rounds of discussions begin. These are known as our Fiscal Year Insights sessions, or FYIs, and this is where you can grab a bite and a beverage and sit down to partake of the tips and the wisdom of the nine (9) thought leaders you see here:

2024 Fiscal New Year's Bash Emcees and FYI Presenters

With the purchase of your ticket to the Bash, you are availed the opportunity to select up to three of the nine (9) 20-minute FYI sessions you plan to attend. If you see more than three of interest to you, buy an extra ticket so you can bring a friend, or two to help with coverage. Who is speaking? Starting on the second row, left side of the image above, your FYI Presenters are:

  1. Heather Lacroix , President of Chronos Operations , a Chenega Corporation Subsidiary
  2. Ross Guckert , Program Executive Officer at U.S. Army PEO Enterprise
  3. Ebony Smith, MCC (she/her) , President, Ebenum Equation- Ebony Smith & Associates, Inc.
  4. Mike Carroll , Chief of Acquisition and Procurement, United States Army Human Resources Command
  5. Bridget Bean , Assistant Director, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency
  6. Vanessa Roc-Cantave and Mike Cantave , Co-Founders, 2Lyons Aerospace
  7. Joshua Rubin , Chief Growth Officer, Infotrend Inc
  8. Courtney Fairchild , President & CEO, Global Services
  9. Anna Urman , Director, Strategic Outreach and Communications, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Any one of these thought leaders will drop enough useful knowledge to fill your cup and set you on a course to better decisions and better outcomes. You'll have an opportunity to mix and mingle with them, and many others like them, all evening at the Bash.

Now for thanks. Thank you Margaret Timberlake , Michele Bull , MT Collins, Nelson Bull, Michelle Burnett and Angela Nguyen , for all you do leading up to and during the Bash. You make it great! Thank you to Stephanie Geiger for accepting the challenge to join me on stage. Thanks to the rest of our sponsors to include: Immersive Concepts, LLC , Management Support Technology, Inc. - MSTI , IMTS - Innovative Management & Technology Services, LLC (IMTS) , Geiger Consulting Group , HUBZone Contractors National Council , Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) , and Federal Business Council (FBC) .

As of the posting of this article, there are 31 days, 3 hours, 12 minutes and 23 seconds until the 2024 Fiscal New Year's Bash begins. We look forward to seeing you there!

Peace, Health, and Success,

Go-To- Guy Timberlake
