How Well Do You Know The Real
                        You?

How Well Do You Know The Real You?

The REAL us is always there!

It's always close by!

BUT.... Most of us hide our true selves. We only show a very small glimpse of our personality, our character and our emotional self to the world.

WHY?

I feel that nowadays we are so conditioned to act, speak, and think in such a way that has been defined by the world in which we live. Social media has a huge presence in all of our lives, and together with the internet and the knock on effect of reality television, we are constantly bombarded with messages on how we should look, feel and speak. We suppress what truly makes us unique and amazing.?

We hide away our true feelings, our thoughts, our desires and?our characters under a blanket of imposed social norms and also our fears can shadow our real selves too.

We compare ourselves to others, we doubt our own abilities, we fear what might happen if we get the success we secretly want.

From a young age we are taught what is right, what is wrong, what is polite and what is not accepted and from then on we feel we always have to "fit in" and abide by the "rules!" And yes we should all be kind, be polite and have good manners, but who said just because I'm 5ft 2 I have to be small and quiet, or that because I'm female I can't lift weights, or that as I'm self-employed I must work every single hour? Well I can tell you - I've been told all those things and much more besides, even down to my weight - before I lost weight and now!?

Well I am here for the real!

I'm here for your authentic self

I'm here to help you stop hiding YOU and to stop separating yourself for when you're in public and when you're not, or when you're in a relationship, or in work!

It's exhausting for us to try and think 3 moves ahead all the time and try and be everything to everyone! Trust me - been there, done that! And lost!

It's just not possible!

Plus, I've seen first hand what can happen when people relax into who they really are, find what really drives them and find what makes them truly happy.

It's time to GET REAL and?BE REAL!

So stand tall, lift the weights, wear the outfit you keep putting to the back of the wardrobe, do the thing you want to do.... Do whatever you want!

Do whatever you must to reclaim YOU!!!

I've Created Something Just For YOU!

IT'S HERE!!! ??

News & Updates For You

June is here and I really hope the sunshine is around for a long time to come now! Everything looks and feels so much better when it's sunny doesn't it?

May was a busy one, both personally and professionally, I feel like I've been all over the place recently! Mr B & I have been to Cambridge a few times, Gloucestershire, London, and also around and about locally. Plus I've been on boats (Uber boats are great - you have to try them), cable cars, tubes, trains and cars!

And, you will not be surprised, but there has also been quite a bit of ice cream eaten - both at home and out! (Well, Vienetta was on offer so it would have been rude to refuse wouldn't it!!)

I've also been busy with my mentees at school and chatting with them about creating first impressions and how to become more confident (and fake it when you're jut not feeling it!) My mentees have also been getting ready for their work experience placements and also their GCSE's. It's such an anxious and stressful time for them and when I'm chatting with the students I'm automatically transported to when I was a teenager and preparing for those situations myself.

The local town Business Connect group, which I'm on their Committee, held their quarterly breakfast meet up just before the bank holiday and I love these get-togethers, as it's fab to meet so many people with so many different and interesting careers. Plus it's nice just to have a chat over a coffee too!

AND... they've not kicked me off the airwaves yet!?I'm now 10 weeks into being a Radio Presenter and I am loving it! I really hope you've had chance to tune in and have a good old sing and dance along to all the tunes from all the decades!

I'm on every Thursday 4pm-6pm and you can listen live via DAB, the RadioPlayer App, online?or via your Smart Speaker.

You can?also listen again via the website: Bedford Radio

And in other news.....

Well, you'll remember that?I planted about 250 seeds (some in pots indoors and some out in the garden) and I think only a handful are going to make it! Not sure if the weird weather we've been having as been a hindrance but my fingers are still crossed for success. (So if you know any hints or tips then just let me know!)

And I am finally in a routine with my?running - some days are much harder than others - and I often find myself having a little coaching conversation with myself on the way and I really think it helps (yes I know I'm a fab coach, but just chatting in a positive way, looking for the evidence of when you've been successful in a similar situation before and just taking things step by step (quite literally in this case! I'm still super busy with "Power Hours" - everyone seems to be loving having an hour of me?to themselves where they get really clear on thoughts, feelings, have some quite amazing breakthroughs and then leave with an action plan they can actually achieve!?

So if you want in and "Get Stuff Done" just hit this link:

I want to Get Stuff Done Suzanne!!

I'm also doing a lot more sessions around confidence, body language and how we can?communicate in a more effective way. It affects everything we do, from how we walk into a room, to how we handle relationships, difficult situations and navigating new experiences.

And as always, you'll see that I have another fabulous episode of my podcast out and you can listen to it at the end of this letter.

Me amongst all the Peonies!

Don't worry if you're not quite ready for a Power Hour or full on coaching session then you'll love?my workbook.

Having something to write in and refer back to helps you really get to grips with your thoughts, feelings and ideas. It can guide you to create an action plan and?make the most out of the weeks and months ahead.?

Episode 6 of Season 2 of "Is That What You Think?" Is Out Now!

This episode explores how children should inspire us, how to decide what really needs our focus and attention, and how we look at the world according to our own thoughts and feelings. We explore how we handle those "sliding doors" moments, to navigating the challenges life can throw at us.

I chat with Susie Riddell who is an actor, voice-over artist, podcast host and character actor in "The Archers" - to mention just a few of Susie's roles and talents. She has also appeared on our TV screens and you may recognise her from programmes such as Emmerdale and Gavin & Stacey.

We discuss how Susie discovered her acting talents, how she manages to juggle life on and off the microphone, and how the experiences that Susie has had, has shaped her career and her own view of herself. We learn how Susie handles imposter syndrome, motivation and she gives us many tips and tricks that we can take from Susie to enhance our own wellbeing and help us achieve what's in our thoughts and hearts.

We, of course, also find out what her favourite sandwich is, what she'd steal and what makes her unstoppable!

Susie gives us a great insight into the real life and thoughts of an actor and she also gets a little bit of coaching from me!!

I just know you will love listening to this episode.

Please follow Susie Susie Riddell and check out her podcast "Limited Time Only."
