Hi folks, I have been designing business website for some years and I have been asked this question “Why Do I Need A Website” when I try to market a website design to a start-up business owner. I will like to share with you “How Website is Changing Businesses Today”

I will share 4 ways it affecting how we do business today

1.      It has changed the way we buy things

I had a business chat with a senior business partner some time ago, He was into Laptop sales and repair, I asked him how viable the business is right now and He said well things have changed since the launch of online stores like jumia and konga. The internet has changed how we buy thing now we don’t have to go to shops or malls to buy laptops, cloths or most inedible things, we can get it delivered to our house with minimum delivery cost. For shoppers who prefer visiting shops and malls can still use the online shopping platform to verify the price of the item before going there in person.

2.      It has changed how we Advertise

Okay I know people will say serious people still appreciate traditional way of advertising like printing flyers and advertising on the dailies, radio and TV. Well I agree with you but the internet is changing that perceptions. Now serious people don’t want to waste their time reading collecting flyers or reading it, or spending long hours on the radio or TV when on their device the can read the news anytime the like. Let not even argue about that. This is the real reason why internet is changing advertising. Traditional medias can’t measure how many people saw the ads but social media can via insight.

3.      It has changed how we treat our customer

Go are the days we treated consumers like we were the only choice they had, the internet is making search other option quicker and better. I remember an incident that happened with my friend and Gtbank where He got an illegal debit alert from Uber ride, after complain to the bank about he not riding Uber the delayed his refunds for more than the agreed time frame and my friend in question used twitter to complain and his funds was quicker.

4.      It changing how we view Small Business

Small business with excellent websites are perceived to be big companies, because it believed that having a beautiful website is a sign that your company is financially good. A website is making smaller company rub shoulders with big brand in customer delivery and satisfaction.
