How We Got Here - Kade's Dark Embrace - In Development

When I first realized that I had successfully negotiated a deal with the acclaimed author, Kym Grosso, for the adaptation of her book series, "The Immortals Of New Orleans," it felt like I was living in a dream. I had read Kym's books, been a dedicated fan, and always believed that her work was deserving of a cinematic interpretation. The journey of crafting the screenplay was nothing short of incredible, as it allowed me to take the essence of the books and transform it into something I am truly proud of.

Now, as I immerse myself in the creation of the lookbook, I've come to a profound realization – I am a filmmaker. It's astonishing what one can achieve when faced with the challenge of doing it themselves. During this process, I found myself wearing multiple hats, especially in light of the recent strike, as I stood in solidarity with those fighting for their rights and fair compensation. I had initially sought help from volunteers to assist with the writing, but unfortunately, it didn't pan out as I had hoped. Some were overly critical, unable to see the vision I had for the project, while others had ideas that diverged from the essence of the series. That's when I decided to take matters into my own hands and write the screenplay myself.

I owe a special thanks to Joey "Joseph" Jordan for contributing to the opening scene and a pivotal moment between Simone and Alexandra, even though it never appeared in the original book. In true collaboration with Kym Grosso, I involved her in the creative process, just as most screenplay writers and directors would. Every idea and change I proposed was carefully discussed with her to ensure that it seamlessly integrated with the future of the movie series.

Today, as I reflect on this incredible journey, I realize the potential to expand our horizons further by inviting other producers to join me on this adventure. What started as a romance series has evolved into something entirely unique, with elements of action, horror, drama, and even a touch of comedic relief when the moment calls for it. It's a world where humans and supernaturals coexist, and this screenplay has something to offer everyone. I feel like I've given birth to a new creative endeavor, and this is my new child. I extend an invitation to all my friends and colleagues to embark on this thrilling ride with me. I've come this far because of all of YOU, and together, we can bring "The Immortals Of New Orleans" to life in a way that will captivate audiences around the world.
