How are we doing ?
Our team had the pleasure to welcome a great customer yesterday. Although we have the chance to visit their facility on a regular basis, it was their first time at our base.
During the course of presentations on market trends, forecasts, product alternatives, we were presented with our 'Vendor Performance Review'. As a business owner, it is with satisfaction that I witnessed how our team exceeded expectations.
It was also a great moment to reflect on our company's mission and how it has transpired and impacted our business relationship. I was proud of the team of colleagues, partner-suppliers, that made this evaluation great.
So thank you all for the sincerity of efforts put into every aspect of our daily routine.
But then... I was asked a 'different' question...
Our customer then turned the table on us and asked:
'How are we doing? ' 'What can our team do improve our common business?
The simple fact that they cared enough to ask and listened to our answer reflects on their core ethics and purpose. You can guess the type of answer they got from my colleagues !
A couple of lessons were learned yesterday; a couple of mental notes as well ! Hopefully a good reflection to generate a next step!
