How we do it matters

Technology solutions that build trust in local government services
Back in mid-2022, a local father wanted to connect with his young son. For his son’s birthday, he bought a DIY electronics kit so they could learn to build a tiny computer together and even play retro games from the 90s.
Except the kit didn’t have instructions. And the father wasn’t an engineer.
Frustrated with a company that would sell a birthday disappointment so casually, the father connected with Micro Center's online chat support, hoping to save the bonding time with his son. He didn’t expect much.
However, he connected with FCDC's Chase M. , then a Micro Center support rep. Chase knew these DIY kits were aimed at hobbyists and support wasn't included. But Chase could feel something more was going on—this was about a father and son, not the chips and wires and tiny buttons in the box.
We hired Chase a year ago and last month he took charge of our five-star Help Desk team. Why? Because Chase exemplifies a Core Value we hold dear: Character. We value how our teams get things done more than what they do.
Back on the chat with the frustrated father, Chase found all the info and instructions needed, shared it, and put the father/son duo back on track.
Birthday Bonding: Rescued.
Yes, at FCDC we manage the boxes of chips and wires and tiny buttons. But our best work goes deeper, driven by our desire to support client missions that directly address Franklin County needs.
That's why we seek out people like Chase. People with Character.
Because how we do things is far more important than what we do.
