The alarm is ringing..already 4:30 in the morning. I looked at the clock and I could not find any power to get up from bed. I literally dragged myself out of bed, went with my eyes closed to prepare my coffee and sat like a robot in front of the computer to start studying. I got to the course page and found out that my previous project was graded.
My eyes opened, I suddenly woke up. 9/10...wow...I felt so happy and out of the blue I was rested and full of energy! I worked on that project almost a month. When I finished I had that feeling that it was a very good work. To get 9 out of 10 when you know that this teacher grades from 8 and down you feel that all your effort was paid off.
I know that most of the students don't care about the grades. For most of them especially when they are young what it is important is to get a passing grade. But I didn't go back to study at my age just to get a passing grade. I sometimes neglect my family and my son to achieve new skills and goals. To achieve something you need to work hard, and sometimes even that is not enough. To me the guilts when I neglect my son are harder than the tiredness.
So lesson learned:
When you feel so tired or maybe down, and when it seems that you don't have anymore power to go on and you need IT more than ever, find something that will make you very happy. If you can’t find that something, do something, create a moment for a loved person or recall in your mind a moment that you received a reward or an award and you felt very proud of yourself. You will immediately feel better. Tested!
